Development Log #4: Particles and Weapons and Trailers, oh my!
Hello again~!
We have some pretty nice stuff to show you this week! As the title says, we've made progress with the particles that show up when the character slashes a beat. Right now, the particles are simple and minimal as to match our current aesthetic. In regards to beats, we've added the models that will potentially be used in the final game - little circular wireframes with a note inside that float and spin around as you slash them! While we like the current models, we're not sure yet if we will keep them so stay tuned for more changes regarding these specifically.
Other than that, we now have the slash, idle, and victory animations (placeholders) set with a few placeholder weapons for you to have an idea of what the game will look like when these aspects are finished and polished in the final version. We also have a little 6-second trailer made especially to showcase all of last week's changes - check it out down below!
